Oh my. What a monumental fuck-up by Ubisoft. When will the gaming, software, and entertainment industries wake up and realize that DRM only harms legitimate customers and does nothing to stop piracy. Case in point: Ubisoft's new DRM was cracked within hours of release, yet legitimate customers are now locked out of a game they bought and expected to enjoy. Nice job, Ubisoft!
To me, there's no greater example of the claim that pirates have better versions of games. I've seen many stories that are told just like this one, but this one is so clear and obvious (and not too technical) that anyone can see the results for themselves.
